PATTENBURG CHURCH APPLE CRISP
FOR 150
 
3 instant cans of apples
1/3 c. lemon juice
2 c. water
1 qt. plus 3/4 c. rolled oats
3 qt. plus 1 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1 qt. dry milk
1 1/2 qt. flour
2 2/3 tbsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. salt
2 1/2 lb. butter

1. Place apples in greased baking pan.

2. Blend lemon juice and water; pour over apples.

TOPPING: Combine oats with remaining ingredients and mix until crumbly.

Cover apples with topping.

Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until apples are tender.
