6 c. flour 1/4 c. baking powder 1 tsp. salt 2 or 3 c. water (to desired consistency) 1/4 c. shortening or 6 c. Bisquick & water Combine ingredients to make a smooth dough. Pinch off a portion and shape it into a long patty. Wrap around the end of a stick in a twisted spiral shape. Pinch the cracks, smoothing over with a slurry of water and flour for a smooth appearance. Bake over hot coals for about 20 minutes or until golden brown. |
