3 c. sugar
1 1/2 sticks butter
1 (5 1/3 oz.) can Pet evaporated milk
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 c. peanut butter (may use either creamy or crunchy)
1 (7 oz.) jar marshmallow creme
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Grease 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan with shortening. Place butter in a 3 quart pyrex (or other glass) bowl. Microwave on high 1 minute or until butter is melted. Add sugar and evaporated milk; mix well. Microwave on high 5 minutes or until mixture comes to a full rolling boil, mixing well after 3 minutes. Mix well, scraping sides of bowl. Continue microwaving on high 5 1/2 minutes, mixing well and scraping sides of bowl after 3 minutes.

Stir in chocolate chips and peanut butter until melted and well blended. Add marshmallow creme and vanilla extract. Beat well. Pour in prepared pan. Cool completely at room temperature. Cut in squares. Place in an airtight container with wax paper between layers.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
