SCALLOPED CABBAGE 
5 c. cooked cabbage
1/2 c. dry bread crumbs
3 tbsp. butter

Place cabbage in greased baking dish, add white sauce (below) and cover with crumbs; dot with butter. Bake in 400 degree oven for 15-20 minutes.

WHITE SAUCE:

3 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. flour
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt

Melt butter, add flour, pepper, and salt. Gradually add milk and cook until bubbly, stirring constantly.
