BEEF & MUSHROOM SUKIYAKI 
2 lb. sirloin steak
1 med. onion, chopped
1 c. fresh sliced mushrooms
2 c. water
Salt & pepper
1 green pepper, chopped
1 can sliced water chestnuts, drained
1/4 c. soy sauce

Cut sirloin into strips about 4 inches long, brown in oil in large frying pan. Add rest of ingredients. Cover and simmer until meat is tender, about 30 to 40 minutes. Combine 2 tablespoons cornstarch with 1/2 cup cold water and add to meat mixture. Cook, stirring constantly until thick. Serve over rice.
