EGG CUSTARD 
2 egg yolks
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
4 tsp. cornstarch
2 c. scalded milk
1/8 tsp. baking powder

Mix egg yolks with sugar and beat well. Add vanilla and baking powder. Scald milk and add cornstarch, moistened with a little water. Pour into a pie shell. Chill and add meringue.
