3 lbs. ground beef Lg. pkg. lasagne noodles 1 sm. container cottage cheese 1 lg. jar Ragu or homemade sauce (4 c.) 10 oz. Mozzarella cheese (4 1/2 c. grated) 3 oz. mild Cheddar cheese, grated (2/3 c.) Combine Mozzarella and Cheddar cheeses together. Brown meat and drain. Prepare noodles as directed on package (12 noodles are needed). Add sauce to meat and simmer 20 minutes. In 9x13 greased pan, put a small amount of sauce on bottom and spread evenly. Add 3 noodles lengthwise, add sauce, cheese, cottage cheese very sparingly. Continue layering ingredients. On top layer omit cottage cheese and add more cheese to completely cover. Bake at 350 degrees until browned, about 45 minutes. Serves 8. For smaller amount, cut ingredients in half but use 9 noodles. |
