1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 c. shortening
1/4 c. butter
3 tbsp. milk
1 egg, beaten
1/2 tbsp. vanilla

Mix dry ingredients, cut in butter and shortening. Add eggs, milk and vanilla. Mix smooth. Roll thin on floured surface. Cut and bake on greased cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
