BOSTON BROWN BREAD 
1 stick butter
2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. raisins
2 c. water

Mix together and set aside. 2 c. sugar, brown or white 2 eggs 1 tbsp. molasses Dash of salt

Cream together, add the raisin mixture and a dash of vanilla. Bake at 350 degrees for over 1 hour, until tops are firm in 3 (1 pound) ground coffee cans 1/2 full.
