CHOCOLATE CHESS PIE 
1 unbaked pie shell
1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. cornmeal
3 tbsp. cocoa
3 eggs, well beaten
1/2 c. melted butter
1/2 c. corn syrup
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine sugar, cornmeal and cocoa. Combine eggs, butter, syrup and vanilla. Pour egg mixture into dry mixture and stir until there are no lumps. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Test for doneness with a silver knife. Serve with whipped cream, if desired.
