SUNDAY NIGHT SPECIAL | |
2 tbsp. butter 4 med. onions, sliced 1 med. green pepper, diced 1 lb. steak, cut into strips 1/2 tsp. garlic salt 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 (28 oz.) can whole tomatoes 1 (2 1/2 oz.) can mushrooms, whole or sliced 1 bay leaf 1 tsp. oregano 1 tsp. basil 1 tsp. thyme 3 c. cooked seashell macaroni Melt butter in large frypan, saute onions and green pepper. When tender remove and set aside. In same pan brown meat. Sprinkle with garlic salt and Worcestershire sauce. Return onions and green peppers to pan, adding tomatoes, mushrooms, bay leaf, oregano, basil and thyme. Reduce heat. Cover and cook 45 minutes to 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Serve over buttered macaroni or rice. |
