TACO CASSEROLE 
1 lb. ground beef
1 box macaroni & cheese
3/4 c. chopped onion
1 packet taco seasoning mix
Cheese flavored tortilla chips
2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese

Brown ground beef and onion; add taco seasoning plus 1 cup water; mix; bring to a boil, simmer for 10 minutes. Prepare macaroni and cheese according to package directions except use 1/4 cup more milk.

In 2 1/2 quart casserole crush tortilla chips, enough to cover bottom. Layer on 1/2 of the macaroni and cheese, then half of the meat mixture, then 1/2 of the cheese. Repeat layers starting with chips. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes. If desired top with chopped tomatoes, sour cream, etc.
