APPLE CRISP 
5 or 6 peeled apples, sliced thin
1 cup sugar
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, melted
1 egg
cinnamon
nutmeg
white loaf bread slices

Place apples in bottom of a 11x7-inch baking dish or pan. Sprinkle cinnamon and nutmeg over apples. Cover with slices of white loaf bread with crust removed. Mix sugar, butter and egg. Pour over bread. Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes or until brown.
