CABBAGE, CHEESE CASSEROLE 
1 sm. cabbage or approximately 4 c. raw cabbage

Boil cabbage in small amount of salted water until tender. DO NOT OVER COOK. Drain all water from cabbage.

Make 1 cup white sauce. Melt 2 tablespoons butter in heavy pan. Add 2 tablespoons flour, 1 cup milk, salt and pepper and cook until thick.

Layer cabbage, American Swiss cheese and white sauce ending with cheese on top. Bake at 350 degrees until casserole bubbles or cheese melts. Serves 4.

If the cabbage and sauce is hot when you mix it, it will not take long to bake.
