GUMDROP COOKIES 
Cream 1 cup butter with 2 cups firmly packed brown sugar. Add 2 eggs. Sift together 3 1/2 cups flour, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1 teaspoon salt. Add to butter- sugar-egg mixture. Fold in 1 1/2 cups of chopped gumdrops (leave out black or licorice drops).

Chill mixture for 1 hour. Drop by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart on a well-greased cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes at 400 degrees. Makes 5 dozen. Freeze to serve later.
