NANNY'S LIGHT BREAD | |
1 cake of yeast 1 c. lukewarm water 2 tbsp. sugar 2 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. salad oil 3 1/2 - 4 c. flour Soften yeast in water with sugar, salt and oil. Add flour to make soft dough. Turn out on floured board and knead until smooth and satiny. Let rise in greased bowl until double in size. Punch down, let stand 10 minutes. Shape into rolls. Let rise again until double in size. Bake at 425 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. Makes 24 to 36 rolls. |
