THE WORLD'S BEST FRENCH DRESSING 
1 c. salad oil
1/2 c. catsup
3 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. prepared mustard
1 sm. onion, finely diced
1/2 c. vinegar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. celery seed
1/8 to 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1 c. sugar

Mix all ingredients thoroughly with an electric mixer or blender. Yield: 1 pint.

VARIATION: Use 1/2 cup lemon juice in place of vinegar and use 2/3 to 3/4 cup sugar. This is a little sweeter version.
