WALNUT CONGEALED SALAD 
1 pkg. lemon flavored gelatin
1 c. hot water
1/2 c. cold water
1 1/2 c. coarsely diced and peeled red apple
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 c. coarsely diced celery
1/2 c. diced sweet pickle
1/2 c. coarsely chopped walnuts

Dissolve gelatin in hot water add cold water and cool until it begins to thicken. Add all other ingredients to gelatin. In a 1 to 1 1/2 quart mold. Serve on lettuce, top with mayonnaise.

Goes well with meat on fish dishes.
