SOUR CREAM POUND CAKE 
1 c. shortening or butter
3 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 c. sour cream
3 c. sugar
6 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. butter flavoring

Cream butter and sugar. Add yolks, one at a time. Add vanilla and soda. Add flour and sour cream alternately in small amounts. Mix well. Add beaten egg whites and mix. Bake at 270 degrees for 1-1/2 hours.
