GRAPENUT BREAD | |
3 1/2 c. milk 2 c. Grapenuts 1 c. wheat germ 1 tbsp. salt 1 c. brown sugar 1/2 c. water 3 eggs 2 pkg. dry yeast 1 1/3 sticks butter 3 c. flour Melt butter in milk and heat until lukewarm. Pour over the Grapenuts, wheatgerm, sugar, salt and yeast. Add water and blend in 3 cups of flour. Add eggs and beat until smooth. Then, add enough flour to knead. Knead. Let rise. Punch down. Divide into 4 sections. Let rest for 10 minutes and then shape into 4 loaves. Let rise. Bake for 15 minutes at 400 degrees, then turn and bake for 15 minutes at 250 degrees. |
