OATMEAL CHOCOLATE SANDWICHES 
1 1/2 c. soft butter
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. orange juice
3 c. uncooked oatmeal
2 c. flour
12 oz. chocolate chips
2 tbsp. vegetable shortening

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Blend in orange juice. Add oatmeal, flour and mix well. Refrigerate 10 minutes.

Shape into 1 inch circles. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are golden. Remove from sheet and cool. Combine chocolate chips and shortening in heavy saucepan over low heat. Stir until smooth. Spread chocolate over flat side of cookie. Top with remaining cookie and drizzle top of cookie with chocolate. Refrigerate 10 minutes.
