BREADED BUTTER PICKLES 
4 qts. cucumbers, sliced thin
3 med. onions, chopped
2 peppers, chopped
1/2 c. salt
Ice cubes

SYRUP:

3 c. vinegar
5 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. turmeric
1/2 tsp. celery seed
2 tbsp. mustard

Combine cucumbers, onions, pepper, and salt. Cover with ice and let stand for 3 hours. Drain well. Combine all syrup and pickles. Mix well, and boil. Place in halves, and seal.
