CHICKEN LIVER PATE 
1 c. butter
1 lb. chicken livers
1 lg. onion, chopped
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/4 c. brandy

Melt 4 tablespoons of butter in a skillet. Add the livers, onions, salt and pepper. Cover and cook until the livers are cooked through. Cool the mixture slightly. Put the mixture into a blender or food processor (chopping blade) and whirl until very smooth. Add the remaining butter and brandy. Whirl to mix thoroughly. Scrape into a buttered bowl or pan. Chill. Serve with crackers. Chopped onion and chopped hard-boiled eggs may be served as garnish also. Makes 2 cups.
