CHICKEN FRICASSEE AND DUMPLINGS 
4 chicken drumsticks
1/4 c. diced celery
1 tbsp. chopped onion
1 tsp. chicken-flavored gravy base
1/2 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1/2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen mixed vegetables (about 1 c.)
Lemon Dumplings

In 2-quart saucepan, simmer drumsticks with 1 cup water, celery, onion, gravy base, salt, and dash of pepper until chicken is tender, about 20 minutes. Blend flour and 1/2 cup cold water; stir into broth. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until gravy is thick and bubbly. Add frozen, mixed vegetables.

LEMON DUMPLINGS:

Combine 1/3 cup all-purpose flour, 1/2 teaspoon baking powder, and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Combine 1/4 cup milk, 1/2 teaspoon snipped parsley, 1/4 teaspoon grated lemon peel, and 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice. Add to dry ingredients; stir until dry ingredients are moistened. Drop batter in mounds on top of bubbling hot chicken mixture. Cover; simmer mixture for 20 minutes. Makes 2 servings.
