WHEAT GERM HEALTH COOKIES | |
1 c. butter 1 c. light brown sugar (sifted) 1 c. white sugar 2 beaten eggs 2 c. all-purpose flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 2 tsp. vanilla 1/2 c. wheat germ 1 1/2 c. rolled oats, quick cooking 1/2 to 1 c. raisins (optional) Cream butter and sugars in large bowl. Combine remaining ingredients, except oats, and add to creamed mixture. Add the oats and raisins, if used, and mix well. Chill one hour. Roll pieces of dough into 1 inch balls and place on greased cookie sheets; flatten a little with fingers. Bake in 350 degree oven for 10-13 minutes, depending on your oven, or until edges are somewhat brown and tops are light brown. Makes about 4 dozen 3 inch cookies. |
