CRUMB PUDDING 
1 egg
1/2 c. brown sugar or white
2 c. milk
1 1/2 c. bread crumbs or stale doughnut crumbs
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/8 tsp. ground cloves
1 tbsp. butter, melted
1 c. seedless raisins

Beat egg until light, then add sugar and milk. Pour egg mixture over crumbs that have been combined with all other ingredients in a 3 quart baking dish. Stir until blended. Place baking dish in a shallow pan of water in 300 degree oven 45 to 50 minutes until pudding is set. Serve pudding warm with a little milk or your favorite sauce. Serves 8.
