The ancient aztecs did not have cows. They had deer and rabbits and llamas.

I have used this recipe for about 50 years. My kids grew up loving it. My son (age 47) won a chili making contest in college using the recipe. I am making it tonight for him and his family. They arrive on a late flight from their home in the Netherlands and I want to have a light meal for them. I think I originally got the recipe from Sunset magazine. Thanks for making it available for the next generation.
