DREAMY CHERRY PRETZEL TORTE 
1 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
2 c. coarsley crushed pretzels
1 (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
1/2 c. powdered sugar
2 env. Dream Whip
1 can (32 oz.) cherry or strawberry pie filling

Melt butter in pan. Add sugar and blend. Remove from flame add pretzels and blend lightly. Reserve 1 cup for topping. Press remainder into ungreased 9 x 13 inch pan. Mix cheese and powdered sugar in large bowl prepare whipped topping mix. Fold into cheese mixture. Spread 1/2 cheese mixture over cooled crust spread pie filling evenly on cheese mixture then place remaining cheese mixture garnish with reserved pretzels. Refrigerate 2 hours.
