APPLE CHEESE TORTE 
1 c. butter
2/3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour

1. Cream butter and sugar.

2. Add vanilla and flour. Blend.

3. Press mixture into bottom and 3/4 of way up sides of 8 or 9 inch springform pan.

FILLING:

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
5-6 apples, peeled and thinly sliced
1/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
Lemon juice
1/4 c. sliced almonds

1. Beat cream cheese, 1/4 cup sugar, vanilla and egg. Pour into crust.

2. Combine sliced apples with 1/3 cup sugar, cinnamon and little lemon juice. Mix well.

3. Pour apple mixture over top of cheese mixture and sprinkle with almonds.

4. Using spoon, push crust down on sides even with apples.

5. Serve warm or cold. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes then at 400 degrees for 25 minutes.
