SNITZ AND KNEPP 
1/4 lb. smoked bacon or ham, cut in 1/2" cubes
8 c. water
2 c. apple snitz (soaked overnight)
2 tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 c. molasses
1/2 tsp. salt

THE KNEPP:

2 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 c. milk
1/4 c. melted butter

Make 6 dumplings. Drop in juice down light and cook 15 minutes.
