BRAN HEALTH MUFFINS | |
1 c. whole bran cereal 1 c. all-purpose flour 2 tbsp. wheat germ 2 tbsp. toasted sunflower seeds 1 tsp. baking soda 1 egg, beaten 3/4 c. buttermilk 1/4 c. brown sugar, packed 1/4 c. cooking oil 2 tbsp. honey In mixing bowl, thoroughly stir together bran cereal, flour, wheat germ, sunflower seeds, and baking soda. Make well in dry ingredients. Combine egg, buttermilk, the brown sugar, oil, and honey; add to dry ingredients, stirring just to moisten. Fill greased or paper-lined muffin pans two thirds full. Bake in 400 degree oven about 15 minutes or until done. Makes 10 muffins. |
