BRUNCH STRATA 
12 slices bread
3/4 lb. shredded cheddar or Swiss cheese
2 1/2 c. diced ham
6 eggs
3 c. milk
1 sm. chopped onion
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
Paprika

Grease an 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Trim crusts from bread and layer crusts evenly over bottom. On top of bread, layer ham, cheese, and onion. With a small glass, cut circles from middle of bread slices. Place circles on top, touching. Beat eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and mustard together and pour over baking dish. Cover and let stand 6 hours or overnight. Bake at 350 degrees uncovered for 55 minutes. Makes 8 servings.
