BAKED HERB RICE 
2 c. long grain rice
1 stick butter
4 green onions, chopped with stems
1 tbsp. savory
1/2 tsp. thyme
1/4 tsp. oregano
4 c. chicken broth

Melt butter in frying pan, add onion and cook 2 minutes. Rinse rice under cold water. Add to butter and onion and stir over low heat until slightly brown. Put into 2 quart casserole dish. Add other ingredients and cover with foil. Bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour.

This side dish if good with any meat, but especially good with Beef and Lamb.
