PEANUT PATTIES 
2 1/2 c. sugar
2/3 c. white Karo syrup
1 c. cream or evaporated milk
3 c. raw peanuts

Mix together and cook 1 hour over very low heat and add 1 teaspoon butter and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Beat until creamy and spoon out on wax paper to form patties. Add red cake coloring as desired.
