PLAIN BREAD OR BUNS
5 lb. flour
2 pkg. dry yeast
1 tbsp. salt
3 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. vegetable or olive oil
7 c. very warm water

In a small bowl, combine 1 cup of warm water with yeast and 1 tablespoon of sugar; set aside to dissolve.

In a large round pan, add the rest of the water, oil, sugar, 1 tablespoon salt, and add the yeast mixture. Add flour, knead and fold the dough until it becomes dry and springy. Cover and let stand for 10 minutes. Re-fold dough and sprinkle small amount of flour on top.

Cover and let rise in a warm place until dough doubles in bulk. Then shape dough into loaves, onto greased pans and let dough rise again until doubled in size. Bake at 400 degrees for 20-30 minutes. Makes about 8 medium loaves.

NOTE: Temperatures for baking may vary according to ovens.
