RAGU HOT DISH 
2 c. uncooked macaroni
3/4 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. green pepper, chopped
1 lb. ground beef
1 tbsp. salad oil
1 (15 oz.) spaghetti sauce
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. basil
2 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. flour
2 c. milk
2 c. shredded cheese
1/2 tsp. salt

Fry hamburger, onions and peppers. Drain off excess fat and stir in 1 1/4 cup Ragu sauce, water, salt and basil. Cook for 15 minutes. Stir often. Cook macaroni and drain. Put meat sauce in greased casserole, put macaroni on top. Do Not stir it up. In sauce pan, heat butter and stir in flour. Blend in milk, cook until thick. Remove from heat and stir in cheese. When all is melted pour on top of macaroni and drizzle rest of ragu on top. Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes. Serves 6.
