Patio Salad

 Lawrence Wright (Tennessee) says:
This salad has been made in my family, since at least 1960. the only difference is we dice the cheese and ham instead of strips. don't substitute dill relish for the chopped dill pickles, it doesn't work very well, it needs to be chopped or diced. We don't serve it on salad greens, we serve it as a stand alone dish
