TEXAS HASH 
1 lb. ground beef
2 onions, sliced
1 green pepper, thin strips
1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
1/2 c. rice
2 tsp. chili powder
2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper

Brown ground beef, onions and peppers in large frying pan. Pour off drippings. Sprinkle chili powder, salt and pepper over meat. Add rice. Stir in well. Add tomatoes, making sure all grains of rice are covered. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover tightly and cook until rice is done (approximately 25 to 35 minutes).
