DUMPLINGS 
2 c. sifted flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
4 tbsp. Crisco
1 c. milk

Sift dry ingredients together; cut in Crisco until mixture is of cornmeal consistency. Add milk; mix lightly until soft dough is formed. Drop from spoon into boiling stew or soup. Cover tightly; cook without removing cover for 12 minutes.
