WESTERN HASH 
1 lb. ground beef, browned and drained
3 1/2 c. canned tomatoes (1 lb. 12 oz. can)
1 c. chopped green pepper
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. uncooked rice
1/2 tsp. basil
Salt and pepper to taste

Cover and simmer 25 minutes, stirring occasionally. Top with slices Velveeta cheese. Heat until melted. Serves 6.
