FRENCH APPLE PIE (Microwave
Recipe)
 
1 (9 inch) baked pie shell (use frozen deep dish)

Follow directions on package for baking.

For microwave use, place the partially thawed crust into a microwave safe pie dish before baking the pie shell.

FILLING:

6 c. peeled, sliced apples (use green or yellow apples)
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Mix all ingredients together. Pour into baked pie shell.

TOPPING:

1/4 c. butter (soft)
1/2 c. flour
1/4 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon

Cut butter into other ingredients until crumbly. Sprinkle evenly over filling.

Put pie into your microwave on high for 8 minutes. Rotate 1/2 turn. Microwave 6 to 12 minutes until apples are tender. Cool. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
