PRETZEL SALAD 
2 c. pretzels, crushed
3/4 c. butter, melted
1 tbsp. sugar
1 c. sugar
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 (8 oz.) container Cool Whip
1 (6 oz.) pkg. lime gelatin
2 c. boiling water
1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple

Mix pretzels, butter and sugar (1 tablespoon) and put into 9"x13" pan. Bake for 8 minutes at 400 degrees. Let cool.

Mix sugar (1 cup) and cream cheese together and beat. Add Cool Whip and spread on cooled pretzel crust. Mix gelatin in boiling water and add pineapple. Let gelatin mixture partially congeal and spread on top of cream cheese layer. Variation: May substitute 1 (6 oz.) package strawberry gelatin and 2 (10 oz.) packages frozen strawberries. Serves 10 to 12.
