8 slices day old bread 1/2 lb. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese (gold wrapper, Cracker Barrel - whit) 1 lb. crab meat (backfin) 2 1/2 c. milk 4 eggs 1 1/2 tsp. dry mustard 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce Trim crust from bread and spread with butter. Cut into cubes. Layer casserole first with bread, cheese, and crab meat, ending with cheese on top. Beat together milk, eggs, mustard, salt, and Worcestershire sauce. Pour milk mixture over and refrigerate overnight. Bake at 300-350 degrees for 1 hour 15 minutes. |
