2 c. flour 1-l/2 c. milk 2 eggs (beaten separately) 2 tbsp. sugar 3 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 6 tbsp. melted butter Sift flour, sugar, salt and baking powder into a large mixing bowl. Beat yolks well and add milk and beat, adding this to the flour slowly and beating until perfectly smooth. Then add melted butter and fold in egg whites, stiffly beaten. Bake on a hot, well greased waffle iron according to manufacturer's instructions (about 3-5 minutes). This recipe makes approximately six waffles. |
