SPARERIBS AND SAUERKRAUT 
3 lbs. spareribs
2 tbsp. oil
2 lg. onions, sliced
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. hot water
2 lbs. sauerkraut

Brown ribs in hot oil. Add onions, salt, pepper, water. Cover; simmer over low heat 1 hour. Add sauerkraut; cover; cook 20 minutes longer. Serves 4.
