BEER BATTER FOR SHRIMP 
1 c. cold beer, or more as needed
1 egg yolk
1 tbsp. salad oil
1 c. white flour
1 tsp. baking powder

Combine all ingredients in blender or food processor. Cover and let stand in refrigerator for 30 minutes to 1 hour. Batter will thicken. If it is too thick, thin with 1/4 cup more beer. Makes 2 cups.
