1 c. water
2 tbsp. white syrup
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. dry strawberry Jello
Red food coloring

Bring the water, syrup and sugar to a boil. Thicken with cornstarch (about 3 tablespoons in water). Add the Jello and a few drops of food coloring. Cool a little and pour over fresh strawberries in a baked pie shell.
