RED DEVIL'S FOOD CAKE 
1/2 c. cocoa
1 c. boiling water
1/2 c. Crisco
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 rounded tsp. baking soda
1 c. sour milk or cream
2 c. flour
Pinch of salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Take cocoa and put it into boiling water; set aside to cool. Cream Crisco in sugar. Beat eggs and put in sugar mixture; beat again. Add cooled cocoa mixture to egg mixture. Mix soda in sour milk or cream, add to first mixture then add flour, salt and vanilla. Do not add a speck of flour more. Batter is thin. Put in 9"x13" pan and bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes. Frost with vanilla frosting.
