PINEAPPLE COOKIES 
1 lg. can crushed pineapple
6 tbsp. cornstarch
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. cold water

Cook until thick. Cool.

DOUGH:

4 c. flour, sifted
4 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sugar
1/2 to 3/4 c. milk
1 tsp. salt
1 c. shortening
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
3 eggs

Mix ingredients - like pie dough. Blend eggs, milk and vanilla. Roll half of dough in lightly floured board. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Remaining dough to be used on top of filling. Can be made as a lattice design.
