APPLE BUTTER 
9 c. apple pulp
2 c. apple cider
1/2 c. sugar to each c. of pulp
3 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 tsp. ground allspice

Cook apples in cider until soft. Put through a food mill. To each cup of pulp add 1/2 cup sugar. Stir in remaining ingredients. Add spices as to your taste. I cook my butter in a 3 1/2 quart crock pot. Pour into pint jars and seal. Cook about 4 hours.
